San Juan Del Sur is a small beach town located on the Western Coast of Nicaragua and has a nice white sand beach and good waves. |

You can hike along a road behind the town to reach more isolated beaches along the coast - some rocky and some with sand, but all beautiful. |

San Juan del Sur is still fairly untouristed and a fairly cheap place to stay along the coast. Unfortunately, the first cruise ship visited in 2000 just before we were there. So far, it seems that usually these people head straight to Granada, but San Juan would like to see some of these tourism dollars. |
