Underwater at Bahia Concha |
These are the fish that jump out of the water, hundreds at a time, when predators approach. The numbers in each school are incredible; when we were in the middle of a school, we had to look above the waterline in order to find our way back to shore. |

The variety of sea life is impressive. We saw animals here we've never seen before, including a rose colored eel and saltwater "centipedes" all over the rocks. We also saw baby cuttlefish. |

The water is cold, visibility is great. There's a large variety of various types of sea animals, but the coral is all dead (except along the eastern side of the cove), though there are some young coral heads trying to make a come back. |
