PLACES TO STAY:
Hospedaje Cabrera: \\$6.00(US) for a double with shared bath. Clean and cheaper than most. Ping pong table, sitting area with cable TV and cheap restaurant with good fruit salad.
Hospedaje Central: \\$10.00 for double/$12.00 for triple with shared bath. Also have dorm. New ownership in 1999. Fun, funky place to stay with lots of travel info and a good restaurant with "gringo" food. Free coffee and tea all day. Laundry service and Cable TV area.
Hospedaje Barba del Mono (Bearded Monkey): \\$3.00 per person in dorm. Another place built for travellers. Internet, bar, restaurant & TV area. We did not stay here but it looked nice. Just south of Fire Station.

RESTAURANTS:
Telepizza: Really good pizza. We got a large (and it was large) for $6.00.
Hospedaje Central: Not cheap, but great selection: breakfasts, sub sandwiches, lasagna, salads, veg burgers and more.
Nameless Comedor: Good, cheap local food. 1/2 block West of park on Calle Real.
Hospedaje Cabrera: Great fruit salad. Large portions on main meals, but not a lot of veg selections.

INTERNET:
Places all over town for \\$3.00/hour. Hopefully price will come down in future. Cheaper than Managua.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL/BASKETBALL:
Hospedaje Central.

CINE:
2 movies every night (\\$1.10 - $1.60). On Calle Atravesada 1/2 block north of park.

OTHER INFO: There is lots to see around Granada (Hospedaje Central has info on everything):
-Masaya: Town known for their handicraft markets. Located on Lake Masaya.
-Laguna Apoya: Pretty lake nearby with good swimming.
-Las Isletas: Can take a boat tour of small islands in Lago de Nicaragua.
-Cloud forest hikes.

OMETEPE: There is a ferry from Granada to Ometepe (lands in Altagracia) on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday. It takes 4 hours and costs less than \\$2.00 (20 cordobas).
