We spent just about a month in Vietnam. There are some nice things to see and exploring the history of the American/Vietnam War was really interesting, but all in all Vietnam was not our favorite country in South East Asia. Accomodation and food were cheap and very good, but nothing really made us say WOW, and many times we were lied to by tour or transport operators which became really frustrating after awhile.
We began our trip in the South in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh City) and the island of Phu Quoc and then worked our way North along the coast to Hanoi and Halong Bay.
