Molino Viejo |

Molina Viejo (Old Mill) is an old mill that is still in use today to grind wheat into flour, using water power alone. It is located a bit beyond San Fransisco del Alto. Unfortunately, the day we visited it was shut down. |

But, we did do quite a challenging little hike down to this beautiful waterfall which is located just below some Mayan Spiritual Ceremonial areas in the cliffs. |

After visiting the falls we hiked quite a ways along the river and through some forest to San Cristobal (a small town) to catch the bus back to Xela. |
