Guatemala is located in Central America, just south of Mexico

It has a strong Mayan heritage, which is still very present today, especially in the Western Highlands. It is a beautiful country with lakes surrounded by volcanic peaks, lots of thermal springs to relax in, great/cheap Spanish Language Schools, and incredible Mayan Ruins in Tikal.
We began our travels in Antigua and then continued on to Quetzaltenango , where we climbed Volcan Santa Maria , and visited the beach at Monterico , and Champerico. |
