Champerico is a beach town located on the western coast of Quatemala. It is not known as a popular place for foreign tourists, but is a popular weekend getaway for people who live in Xela. It's only 2 1/2 hours away from Xela by bus, but a world apart in climate. |

We had a great time playing in the Pacific Ocean (which is incredibly warm here) and relaxing with our friends. Food choices are limited for vegetarians but in Guatemala you can always find rice, beans, eggs and potatoes. |
