Santa Maria de Alto explodes with a huge market every Friday. People sell everything and anything a Guatemalan might need from farm animals to pets, fruits to medicinal herbs, traditional and western clothing, and so on and so on. We were able to visit the market with our teachers during our normal class time to learn more about the culture of Guatemala.
