Ometepe

Ometepe continues to draw us back. There is just something magical about this place and so we returned to visit again and had a wonderful time, though it was incredible to see the increase in tourism just in one year.

Volcan Concepcion: one of the volcanoes that forms this island.

On the ferry from Granada we met this sweet little girl with the most infectious smile. She quickly became our friend and helped the 4 hour ride go by much faster.

We arrived in Altagracia and found out it is a much nicer town to stay in than Moyagalpa (where we stayed last year).

Hotel Castillo.

This year we focused on seeing more of the island and it's wildlife.

Petroglyphs
Monkeys
Birds
Butterflies & Reptiles
With such great wildlife, natural beauty, fantastic people, and agricultural focus, we decided this was definitely someplace we wanted to live. So we looked into buying property and returned in April to finalize a purchase. To see some of what we bought visit: Our Land
